The 4-CD Soundtrack Set

TributetomyfriendsBundleThrough his performances on these newly recorded documentary soundtrack masters, Jerry Naylor pays tribute to the Rockabilly Legends and the musical genres where Rockabilly had its roots–African American spirituals and slave songs, Delta blues, Southern gospel, bluegrass and hillbilly music.  Recorded at Patrick McGuire Recording in Arlington, Texas, with an all-star band, each track reveals Rockabilly passion like never before.

For almost two years, Jerry Naylor and Carl Stanley Perkins, son of the iconic Carl Perkins,   created, wrote and recorded a passionate tribute to the Godfather of Rockabilly.  Stan’s second-generation Rockabilly performance reveals the heavy influence of his father’s unique vocal performance and that Carl Perkins pushy rock-blues lead guitar style.  The Perkins-Naylor duet vocals bring new, fresh excitement to the classic Carl Perkins songs.  Stan and Jerry stretched their unmatchable Arlington, Texas musicians to incredible musical heights in this retro-Rockabilly collection. Fifty-One extraordinary new masters of Fifties Rock.

Reviews and Testimonials

Keen understanding and a great love for the music

Over the years there has been an elite group of men who understood Rockabilly music-- Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Knox, Gene Vincent, and my friend of many years, Jerry Naylor. You have to have a keen understanding and a great love for the music to perform it as it should be performed.

The Rockabilly Legends: A Tribute to My Friends proves my point. Jerry Naylor was there when the music was being created. He knew all the Rockabilly greats, performed with them, loves the music and brings Rockabilly into the 21st century with great style and dignity.
